Taking student diversity into account – shaping teaching (Die Vielfalt der Studierenden berücksichtigen - Lehre gestalten) (2016)
The diverse circumstances of students require targeted attention. The task of universities in ensuring equal opportunities and educational equity is to examine the composition of the student body and whether any disadvantages exist. The use of varied teaching and learning approaches plays a major role in this process. With growing heterogeneity and social differentiation, as well as the effects of demographic change, the number of traditional students is expected to decline. This means making efforts to engage groups that have been underrepresented at universities so far, such as so-called non-traditional students.

Gender and Security (2025)
Handbook on Gender and Security
The Handbook on Gender and Security presents a comprehensive overview of the connections between gender and (in)security in international relations. Authors from various disciplines showcase their innovative research, illustrating how past and recent developments have shaped our understandings of this relationship.
Contributors adopt novel theoretical approaches and empirical methods to explore the effects and dynamics of security threats. They highlight the significant diversity in definitions of both gender and security, introducing refined ways of understanding the connection between the two, focusing on topics including war, violence, climate change, pandemics, and criminal networks, as well as feminist action. The Handbook identifies fruitful avenues for future research in the field, surveying gender-related security policy at the international, national and regional levels.
The Handbook on Gender and Security is an essential resource for students and scholars of International Relations, Security Studies, and Gender Politics. It is also a vital read for policy-makers seeking to understand the significant impact of gender on experiences of and vulnerabilities to security threats.Edward Elgar Publishing

Trans*People (Trans*Personen) (2022)
(Kopie 12)
The book deals with the effects of symbolic violence in the lives of trans* people, which are discussed primarily in relation to their transition processes. In 2016, as part of a research project, guided interviews were conducted with 14 trans* people about their experiences of discrimination. The results, which were obtained through secondary analysis using computer-assisted qualitative content analysis, reveal a strong ambivalence towards the (in)visibility of trans* people, their perception of their own discrimination, and the pressure to pathologise themselves as part of the transition process. In particular, the respondents' views on their own gender performance and that of other trans* individuals, as well as their reactions to society's treatment of trans* individuals, reveal how deeply transphobia is rooted in society. Despite some critical engagement with the issue, transphobic patterns pervade individuals in an internalised way.
