Equal opportunities & diversity in research proposals
Equal opportunities and diversity are decision-relevant criteria when approving funding from national and international third-party funding organisations. Concepts and equal opportunities measures must therefore be given appropriate consideration in all research proposals and in the implementation of projects.

- Advice on the use of equal opportunity funds for planned or ongoing Collaborative Research Centres, Research Training Groups, Research Groups, Clusters of Excellence and individual funding or other projects
- Planning of project-specific measures to increase the proportion of women and support early career researchers, promote diversity in science and family-friendly measures
- Support in the application process with text modules on LUH offers and feedback on the proposal text
- Preparation and monitoring of assessments
- Participation in project events (e.g. at general assemblies, (annual) conferences, Lecture Weeks) by employees of the ChancenVielfalt team
- Language check: gender- and diversity-sensitive language
- Provision of data and development of target figures
- Provision of speakers for project-specific workshops, coaching sessions and events
DFG projects:
We offer regular network meetings for the DFG project coordinators at LUH to exchange ideas. We also provide ongoing information about suitable offers that can be billed via the DFGs equal opportunities fund.
