DIVERSITY STRATEGY

Leibniz University Hannover has drawn up comprehensive diversity management procedures, which aim primarily to raise the awareness of university members for this area. The strategy is subject to the following guiding principle:                                                                                                                    Leibniz University Hannover regards diversity of students and staff as having special potential. It supports a university culture based on diversity and equal opportunities, which is the basic requirement for academic performance and innovative capacity. Every member of the university should be able to develop and contribute their individual talents irrespective of gender, ethnicity, age, disability, sexual orientation, religion, linguistic or social origin. LUH sets itself the goal of respecting this diversity while opposing discrimination. It supports productive diversity through diversity management procedures and regards this as a contribution to improve quality, creating an interdisciplinary environment, accessibility and educational equity.
